I want to respond to this article, but I don’t know if I can without writing a ten page paper. It’s all about how much money we’d save if no one were fat.
Ugh. It both makes me angry and gives me some hope. At the very end, the author recognizes weightism as a problem. But the rest of it is just begging for me to attack it.
Instead, because I know I can’t articulate myself, you read it, and tell me what you think. What made you the angriest? Was there any GOOD in it?

YUCK! I have a lot to say, but it’s going to have to wait, seeing as it’s 2 o’clock in the morning.
I saw that and wrote a response on my personal blog.
I wanted to write to the idiot who first wrote that, or give feedback to MSN about the article, but couldn’t find a way to do it.
Not only does this completely espouse fat-hate, but it also has no sources to back up it’s ludicrous claims nor does it really think through some of it’s premises.
It’s just poorly written all the way around.
Weightism is a curse which many of us have to live with. People who are overweight are not abnormal and do not need sympathy of others. Just leave us alone and let us live with dignity and respect.
